Distances

There will be a 15K relay (3 x 5K), 5K walk, and 1K kids run (13 years old and younger).

15K Relay (3 x 5K). Team up with a couple of friends to form a 3 x 5K relay. This route covers Indian Lake's finest Ice Age Trail and more. Covering a mix of singletrack, rough-hewn grassy trail, and double-wide ski trails, this course is covered in shade with the final stretch opening up to a grassland prairie area making an opportunity for speedwork to the finish.

5K Walk. This course loops through the terrain of Indian Lake. Some of the course is a section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.  Walking sticks are welcomed for the steep climb on one hill.  This course covers a mix of terrain and mostly shaded.

1K Kids Run.  This course loops around the hub taking the kids on a short trail run with a variety of terrain. Offering gravel, grass, and double-wide ski trails, this course is perfect for beginners.  Parents and spectators will be able to see the kids loop around the course while staying up by the shelter where the start and finish are located.

"Remote" Run. (Run/Walk/Pray). Not in Wisconsin? Not available on race day? Not a runner? NO PROBLEM! This "course" is wherever you are! Register as a remote runner to support this race. Pay the registration, commit to walk for the cause and/or use it to pray. We will send you an electronic race packet with prayer points related material.

Capacity

This event will be capped at 200 entry tickets.

Cup-free Trail Run

Nothing kills the vibe of running through the forest like coming up on an aid station littered with discarded single-use cups. Sure, our volunteers would clean up afterwards, but in an effort to reduce our impact on the natural areas we love, we are going cup-free on the course trails!

There will not be paper cups at aid stations. If you expect needing hydration on-course, you are responsible for bringing your own cup/bottle/bladder. We will have water at aid stations to top-off. Water dispensers will be available at the finish.

Going cup-free is a significant step to less-waste and being better stewards of our public lands.

Check out this resource for why and how to go cup-free.

Check out a variety of options at FLEET FEETNathan Reusable Race Day cupAmphipod, and Salomon are just a few of our favorites.

Parking

Volunteers will help direct you to parking in the parking lot. It is encouraged to carpool with participants and/or volunteers attending the event.

Strollers

Due to the nature of the course, strollers are prohibited for all events.

Dogs

While furry friends are welcomed at Indian Lake County Park, please leave your furry friend(s) at home (no dogs will be allowed with participants at this ROPES race event).

T-Shirts

Participants will receive a T-shirt with all registration sign-ups prior to July 1st. T-shirts are not guaranteed with packet pickup on race day for registrations AFTER July 1st.

Refund & Transfer Policy

There are NO REFUNDS for race format changes, event cancellation due to public health concerns or other factors (including weather), or individual participant requests. We fundraise for a non-profit and all of our expenses are incurred long before race day.
